Virginia Palmer, PhD
Virginia is Founder, CEO of Resources Unlimited Human Development Foundation, 501(c)3.   She has 30 years experience of teaching, Empowerment Seminars, Environmental Activities and Leadership Trainings. Virginia is President of MV Green Power in Austin, former Executive Director of People for Parks in Los Angeles, Leadership Trainer for Los Angeles County Parks, Counselor and Faculty member at Austin Community College.  The RU Foundation programs foster personal leadership, environmental responsibility and community service.


Cheryl Rae, BLS, MA
Cheryl, Executive Director of RU. has a strong organizational focus and can build crossfunctionally and consensus to ensure projects meet all milestones, deadlines, and budget requirements. She intuitively adapts to new technology and innovative processes while ensuring compliance with corporate standards. Current Board Affliations:

Board Member, Greener Virgin Islands.


Ruth Gardner-Loew
Ruth is a Healthy Spaces Consultant and offers science-based solutions on how to create wellness producing, nurturing, healthy spaces in the home, office and facilities.   Ruth previously served as Executive Director of Atticus Circle, a non-profit organization that advances equal rights for LGBTQI.   She is a member of the Leadership Austin Essential Class of 2012.

 


Nancy Labastida, BA
Nancy graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BA in sociology.  She worked at the Dallas Public Library as well as the New York Public Library.
She taught at the International Preschools in
New York. She lived in London, where her husband was a United Nations’ Maritime diplomat.  She now lives in Austin.

Harvey L. Davis, CPA

Harvey is a retired Certified Public Accountant. He graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1968, with a bachelor’s degree in business. After graduation he served as a Peace Corp Volunteer in Peru. His work career included IRS Revenue Agent, Owner of Harvey Davis CPA, Manager of NAACP Federal Credit Union (later called East Austin Federal Credit Union), and Investment Officer and Corporation Manager for Travis County. After retirement from a fourteen year career at Travis County, Mr. Davis served four years as Mayor of the City of Hays.


Bill Oliver, Musician
Bill is a singer, songwriter and band leader who has brought fun, comfort and entertainment to thousands of people of all ages 4 to 104.   To the youth he is known as MrHabitat for his many songs that he plays at schools, parks and festivals.  Bill was a participating musician for “Swan Songs”, a non-profit organization that provides musicians to sing special request songs to end of life persons.  Bill adds his “music magic” to live workshops, trainings and CEU courses presented by the Resources Unlimited Partners.  He is also working with ” Betty’s Green Books & MrHabitat”, “Mother Earth Day” and “Barton Springs University” to bring environmental education and eco-songs to Central Texas area schools via videos, Zoom and future school visitation programs.


Carey Ibrahimbegovic
Carey is the CEO/Owner of Greenbelt Solar, a Central Texas solar installation company providing turnkey solar solutions to residential, commercial and non-profit clients for the past 10 years.  She has served on the board of Solar Austin and the Solar Austin Foundation for 8 years.  Carey is a graduate of the University of Texas.
